About Us

The George Fox School Educational Charity’s aims are to provide financial assistance for people under the age of 25, living in the North Lancashire and South Lakeland area to support them in general educational pursuits. When we say ‘education’ the term is given a broad interpretation to
include not just academic study but also developing skills for the
workplace, and in the fields of music and sport.

Higher Education

The Trust has provided funding for a range of assistance for example to help a young person to improve their educational skills. This can range from attending a pre- degree course at a summer school, to provision of specialist equipment to make the learning environment easier, to providing help towards tuition fees to help a young person gain a qualification necessary for their chosen career.

Learn a new skill

We have provided funding towards helping a young person to learn a new skill which may help them in their career or in sport and recreation. This could range for helping with the purchase a musical instrument to helping to fund a trip to learn building skills on a real life project overseas, and to bring these skills back to help them in the UK.
